GIS Handover to Dong Xoai city in Binh Phuoc province

The GIS handover ceremony to Dong Xoai city in Binh Phuoc province took place on the afternoon of 15 September 2020 in Binh Phuoc province. The event was held by the Ditagis Center at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communication in Binh Phuoc province.

GIS is one of the 11 collaborations between HCMUT and Binh Phuoc province. GIS aims to facilitate planning and technical infrastructure management, by authorities at local functional departments, by giving bits of help in planning, construction, and technical infrastructure data updating and exploration. The system is believed to provide citizens with the city’s planning information.

At the ceremony, all representatives signed to receive the GIS at Dong Xoai city. At the same time, instruction on how to use this system for staff in charge at village and ward levels was also conducted.

The GIS helps boost technology applications in promoting “e-government” at Dong Xoai city, contributing to the enhancement of work quality and effectiveness at the governmental agencies as well as their better citizen and enterprise service.
