Signing MOU with National Taiwan University of Science and Technology- NTUST

 

In the afternoon of 15 June, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thien Phuc - Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) welcomed the delegation from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) ) led by Prof. Yi-Hsu Ju, Vice-Chancellor. On occasion of this visit, the two sides signed an extension of the agreement to enhance cooperation on training, exchange of lecturers and scientific research.

The signing ceremony is witnessed by Dr. Meng-Ji Wang - Head of International Cooperation; Prof. Chien-Kuo Chiu - Vice Dean of Faculty of Engineering; Mr. Po-Ju Chen – International Coordinator of Cooperation Department. The representatives from HCMUT include Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Danh Thao – Director of External Relations Office; Assoc. Prof. Do Ngoc Hien - Vice Dean of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; Dr. Tran Anh Son - Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering; Dr. Luu Xuan Loc - Vice Dean of Faculty of Civil Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Thang - Deputy Head of Faculty of Material Technology; Dr. Huynh Phu Minh Cuong - Vice Dean of Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Kim Phung - Vice Dean of Chemical Engineering Faculty.

The two university representatives are signing the MOU

HCMUT and NTUST have established partnership and signed an MOU since 2008. NTUST has worked with almost all faculties of HCMUT on the recruitment, scholarship programmes, student exchange, organizing seminars, scientific research ... After 10 years of cooperation, the two universities have signed MOU extension and MOA on academic exchange. New signing documents will be a prerequisite for further promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between the two universities.

After the signing ceremony, the two sides also spent time exchanging and sharing their knowledge on scientific research and organization of technical seminars as well as discussing potentials on joint projects in the future.

It is reported that NTUST is currently the first technological university in Taiwan. The University consists of 6 faculties in engineering including Electrical and Electronics and Computer Science, Management, Design, Social Sciences, and Applied Sciences; 17 respective majors, 10 graduate training institutes and more than 21 research and R & D departments.
