Awarding Ceremony of Daikin Scholarship and Seminar on VRV Hot Water

 

Morning Movember 5th, 2016, HCMUT, Department of Heat and Refrigeration Engineering – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Daikin Air Conditioning Vietnam coorganized the awarding ceremony of Daikin Scholarship and a seminar on VRV Hot Water.

From Daikin Vietnam, Ms. Ly Thi Phuong Trang – General Director and other representatives attended the ceremony. From HCMUT, Prof. Dr. Le Chi Hiep – Head of Department of Heat and Refrigeration Engineering and HCMUT lecturers and students attended the ceremony.

At the seminar, Daikin Vietnam introduced VRV Hot Water technology which is being developed and marketed in the market. With VRV Hot Water, Waste heat from home appliances are collected to supply hot water, which increases energy effectiveness and decreases CO2 emission.  

At the seminar, Daikin employees carefully replied all questions from HCMUT students about VRV hot Water Technology. They also provided information about working environment at Daikin. MS. Ly Thi Phuong Mai – Daikin General Director said that most of key positions in Daikin are alumni from Department of Heat and Refrigeration Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. She expected that Daikin would recruit more talented engineers from HCMUT.

Additionally, Daikin introduced career opportunities at Daikin. Ms. Pham Thi Thu Huong – HR spcecialist provided internship vacancies for HCMUT students. At Daikin, HCMUT students would have opportunities to work in an innovative environment. At the ceremony, 12 students of academic year 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 were awarded Daikin scholarship with value of 60,000,000 VND. The scholarship encouraged students to further develop their study and research.

Prof. Dr. Le Chi Hiep expressed his sincere thanks to Daikin Vietnam for the scholarship and job opportunities. He promised that Department of Heat and Refrigeration Engineering would further cooperate with Daikin Air Conditioning Vietnam to conduct research, training and develop new technologies in the future.
