Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology inaugurated the Endress + Hauser Training Center

Afternoon November 11th, 2016 at the H6 Building (Di An campus) – Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), HCMUT has organized the inauguration ceremony of Endress + Hauser Training Center, to promote the automation application in Vietnam.

Attended the ceremony consisted of Mr. Othmar Hardegger – the Consulate General of Switzerland in Vietnam, Mr. Thomas Frank – Director of Endress + Hauser Vietnam, Mr.  Camillo Di Palma – Business Director of Endress + Hauser Vietnam, and representatives of enterprises in Vietnam. The ceremony also received the presences of Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Thanh  - Rector of HCMUT, Dr. Do Hong Tuan – Dean of Electrical – Electronics Engineering Faculty –HCMUT, Dr. Le Thi Hong Hieu – Deputy Director of External Relations Office – HCMUT and HCMUT’s lecturers.

The Endress + Hauser is specialized on solutions to automation production processes while being consistent with sustainable growth principles given innovation research and education for future generations. In 2013, HCMUT and Endress Hauser signed a donation agreement. The Endress Hauser accordingly donated the Automation Control Department – Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering an experiental kit on industrial measurement and process control with the total value of 210,000 USD. In 2016, the Endress Hauser has given funding of furniture package including improvement and installment costs for the room 101 H6 in Linh Trung campus with the total value of 13,000 USD.

As the first laboratory in Linh Trung campus –HCMUT (campus 2), the Automation Control funded by the Endress + Hauser offers a great opportunity for students to access to state – of the- art experimental equipment which is expected to contribute to the enhancement of training, research and development quality. We hope that the inauguration of the Endress + Hauser Training Center will set a premise to attract more technological corporations to collaborate with the university in campus 2 in the years to come.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Thanh – Rector of HCMUT also expressed his sincerest thanks and congratulated to the Endress + Hauser. He also hope both sides will have more collaborative projects in the future in order to offer more pratical benefits that may promote the Automation application in Vietnam.
