A group of 13 students led by Mr. Mikio Masaki, senior coordinator/lecturer of International Affairs Office in Hokkaido University in Japan paid a visit to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in Vietnam on 15 and 16 September, 2014. During the visit, students of both universities had a chance to conduct interesting exchange activities.  

As part of the exchange activities, the students of Hokkaido University were introduced about the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology via a campus tour. The students visited the office of JICA-JST project, and the research lab of CARE center.  In addition, the students engaged themselves in class observations, such as a Japanese class of the twinning program with Nagaoka University of Technology, another engineering class (Numerical Method in Chemical Engineering), and the other MBA class which were offered by the Office of International Study Programs.  

In the afternoon session on 16 September, 13 Japanese students and over 50 students of the University had a meaningful exchange program in the Hall A4. The exchange activities include: introductions to Ho Chi Minh City and Sapporo Hokkaido Prefecture, the universities, food, student life and activities, training programs, student support activities, study and career, and so on. The presentation is followed up by games instructed by Japanese students and the other entertainment activities like singing and traditional games by Vietnamese students. The students were pleasant with the event. The end of the event was a picture taking session to mark the event and contact information exchange for keeping in touch among the students.
